Novato AAUW and Tech Trek
The Novato branch enthusiastically supports AAUW of California’s Tech Trek summer science camp program.
In practical terms, this means
* Raising money to fund scholarships. More than 90% of the cost for each camper is covered by scholarship.
* Undertaking an intensive candidate search and screening process each year, starting with recommendations from seventh-grade math and science teachers.
We are very pleased that in each of the last several years we have been able to send at least three Novato girls to the Tech Trek camp at the Stanford University campus.
Our fundraising effort for Tech Trek is concentrated in a garage sale held each year on the first Saturday in June.
